Maulana Fazalur rehman appointed head of opposition parties. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties, appointed Maulana Fazlur Rehman as the movement’s leader after consultations.
A meeting of the central leadership of a dozen parties in the APC was held online today in which the central office bearers of the Pakistan Democratic Movement were decided.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been appointed as the head of opposition parties alliance’ PDM while the senior vice president will be from the PPP.
Sources said that the PML-N will be given the post of deputy general to other parties. All the decisions of the officials have been taken after consultation with the parties in the alliance.
It may be recalled that an important meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement was held recently, in which a steering committee was set up for the strategy of the protest movement, and Ahsan Iqbal was made the head of the committee.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while talking to the media in this regard had said that Pakistan Democratic Movement has been formed for a special purpose. The steering committee will play its role in advancing the PDM. The first meeting of the PDM will be held in Quetta on October 11.
