Who arrested Safdar Awan, son-in-law of the fugitive PM, in the Mazar-e-Quaid desecration case? According to details, in the CCTV footage of Captain Safdar released, it can be seen that two police mobiles entered a private hotel in Karachi at 6:08 am. In the footage, it can be seen that policemen are entering the hotel.
According to the footage, the operation to arrest Captain Safdar lasted for 46 minutes. Retired Captain Safdar was released from the room at 6:50 p.m.
He was taken out and taken into custody. After his arrest, Captain (retd) Safdar can be seen coming out of the hotel with the police personnel.
It may be recalled that on the night of October 19, Capt. (R) Safdar was arrested by the police on the charge of violating the sanctity of Mazar-e-Quaid. His arrest was carried out from a private hotel.
In this regard, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had said in her message on the social networking website Twitter that the police have arrested Capt (R) Safdar from the hotel where I was staying. The police broke the door of his room.
